What the free check collects
The check sends the brand name, website, category, audience and competitor names you type to our server. Those values are used to construct three questions and are sent to an AI answer provider to produce the sample. The answers and citations come back to your browser. We do not save the free-check answers to our lead store.
We do keep a short-lived rate-limit counter keyed to your IP address in server memory, and we keep aggregate event counts (for example, “a check started” or “a check succeeded”) without the answer text. Our hosting and network providers may keep standard request logs that include an IP address and user agent for a short period.
What the contact form collects
If you ask for the diagnostic or the sample by email, we store the email address, brand, website, note, the score you chose to send, and the time of the request. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the request. We do not add you to a newsletter and we do not sell or share the list.
Who processes it
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the checker and form endpoints.
- Cloudflare stores contact requests and aggregate event counts in a key-value store.
- OpenRouter routes the three questions to Perplexity Sonar, which produces the live answers. The questions include the brand, category, audience and competitor names you typed. Do not type personal or confidential information into the free check.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We choose providers that are appropriate for a small research service, but we cannot make them error-free.
How long we keep it
Contact requests are kept for up to 180 days so we can follow up and keep a record of the enquiry. Aggregate event counts are kept for up to 120 days. Free-check answers are not stored by us. Server logs held by our providers follow their retention settings.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the contact request we hold for you by emailing hello@visiblediagnostic.com. We will confirm within a reasonable period. If you are in a jurisdiction with additional rights, tell us and we will try to accommodate the request.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising cookies and does not use a third-party analytics script. The free check and contact form use first-party requests to our own endpoints. Event counts are aggregate and do not include the answer text.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. Do not submit a child's personal information through the check or the contact form.
Changes
If this page changes materially, the “last updated” date at the top will change. The current version is the one that applies.
